Friday Night at TBE
Every Friday night, we have a traditional Shabbat service at 7:30 pm. Every week, we also offer Tot Shabbat at 5:30 pm and Shira (Service in Song) at 6:45 pm. Our Adult Choir, Kol Halev will be singing in during traditional services approximately once a month. A Tot Dinner is available every week from 6 to 7 pm. $5 for Tot Dinner. Advance reservations are preferred.

To the left of the sanctuary, we have a “family room” (not soundproof) available for families with young children that need to temporarily leave the service in the company of an adult.
Every Friday night at 5:30 pm, Rabbi Levy and Cantor Rose sit with tots and parents on the sanctuary floor for a down-low, upbeat service of Shabbat songs and stories. Tots and their parents are encouraged to sing, dance, and participate in blessings. Dinner follows in the Social Hall ($5 per person): macaroni & cheese, fish sticks, applesauce, and an adult-friendly gourmet salad bar...with lots of time for socializing.
Tot Shabbat gives families a chance to celebrate Shabbat together no matter what the age range of the children; often siblings attend, as well as grandparents and friends. We welcome all tots, older siblings and their families to join us each month for Tot Shabbat!
Shira
Between our Tot dinner and Family services, we are offering Shira, contemporary Jewish songs & blessings celebrating Shabbat (6:45 to 7:10 pm) We invite all of you to join us for this uplifting, engaging celebration (followed by a popsicle oneg)! Families with children in elementary school, please also join us for the dinner at 6 pm. Please RSVP to the office a week in advance (for the dinner) by calling 734-665-4744.

Kochavei Hashamayim
Kochavei Hashamayim (“Stars of the Sky”) is our post-Bar/Bat Mitzvah group for 8th graders. Meeting once each month on Friday evenings at 8 PM, students meet with Cantor Annie Rose to study the week’s Torah portion, try chanting parts of it, prepare Torah portions to chant in TBE services, and then: EAT!
Each month the group enjoys special foods inspired by the Torah portion of the week. Kochavei Hashamayim meets in the Youth Lounge, with parts of the session in the Sanctuary for Torah reading.
Saturday Morning at TBE
On Saturday mornings Rabbi Levy offers his fascinating Torah Study in the chapel at 8:50 am, followed by our lay-led Saturday Morning Minyan (come-as-you-are!) services at 9:30 am, or sanctuary services at 10 am, during which we celebrate the b’nai mitzvah of our children as a community, followed by a kiddush. All are welcome.
