2025 End of Year Giving Campaign

Dear TBE family member,

This past year has been a gift. You, our members, have given so generously ensuring that our community of Temple Beth Emeth (TBE)  remains a home for spirituality and worship, learning and gathering for generations to come. Last year’s annual appeal engaged a record number of donors, supported our overall operations and expanded our culture of giving.

Every time we walk through the doors of TBE, we step into something greater than a building, and thus this year, we are focusing our annual appeal on foundation: the physical and spiritual infrastructure from people to place that allows TBE to be the preeminent home for Jewish life in Ann Arbor. Our sages teach that makom, or place, is another name for God. They are telling us that God is everyplace, in all places. We are God’s people, and TBE is our place. 

Contributions to our annual appeal will help:

• Support Our People — Our Present and Our Future
  • The heart of TBE is not brick and mortar — it’s our people. Our dedicated clergy, teachers, and staff sustain the life of our congregation every day. By supporting competitive wages, quality healthcare, and strengthening contributions to 403(b) plans, we ensure that they, too, have a secure and bright future. Just as they nurture our community, it is our turn to nurture them.
• Sustain Our Place -  Our Present and Our Future. As our congregation grows and changes, our space must continue to grow with us. Your support ensures that TBE remains strong—safe, accessible, and adaptable to the needs of our community.
  • Care for our building, preserving and updating the spaces that make our gatherings possible. This year, our Building, System, and Replacement Program (BSRP or capital expense) with Genesis will significantly increase — a reflection of both our commitment to safety and the practical reality of maintaining an aging facility. To bring our physical space into the future and beyond, we must continue to invest thoughtfully and boldly as we face a definite increase in our annual contribution.¹ 
  • Invest in technology, connecting members who join from afar or who have difficulty with hearing, so their own spiritual life can be more accessible.
  • Strengthen security, protecting the sacred sense of welcome we all rely on. We have two guards at every service and event.
