Accessibility

Temple Beth Emeth welcomes and respects the needs of our members, visitors, and community. While the Genesis building is a shared space, we are happy for suggestions on how we can improve the building to make it more accessible for all. Parking
There is parking to the side and in the back of the building, as well as a circle drive in front of the building for convenient drop off and pick up. ADA accessible parking spaces are located in the circle drive and the parking lot off of Eastover Place. 

Bus Stop
There is a bus stop directly in front of the Temple for routes 5A and 5B.

Entrance
The front entrance is ADA accessible with sidewalk ramps and push button automatic doors. 

The Sanctuary
The Temple Beth Emeth Sanctuary is ADA accessible with a ramp to the main floor space and removable chairs for wheelchair and scooter access. Please contact the TBE office at 734-665-4744 before Friday at 3 p.m. so that accommodations may be arranged before a service or event. 

The First Floor
The first floor of the building is accessible through the ADA compliant front entrance. The first floor consists of the Sanctuary, Chapel, Adult Lounge, Family Lounge, restrooms compliant with ADA recommendations, ramp to the Social Hall, and elevator to access all floors and offices.

The Second Floor
The second floor of the building is accessible by stairs and elevator, and contains the offices for Temple Beth Emeth and St. Clare’s Episcopal Church, as well as access to the rented school space. 

Classroom Floor
The basement is accessible by stairs and elevator, and consists of classrooms.

The Classrooms and Library
The second basement floor is accessible by stairs and elevator, and consists of classrooms, the TBE library, and the Core learning space. 

Zoom
All of our services and many of our events, programs, and classes are available via Zoom. Please see the TBE Calendar (HERE) for full details and links. While not possible for all events, programs, and classes, requests can be made to have access through Zoom. Please contact the event point person or the TBE office at 734-665-4744 or tbe@templebethemeth.org.

Service Animals
Service, guide, and signal dogs to aid guests with disabilities are allowed in the building. Pets and other service animals (emotional support, etc.) are not allowed in the space. Please contact our office at 734-665-4744 or tbe@templebethemeth.org with any special requests.
