Segment 1A: External Witness to the Significance of Genesis: Sanctuary.

Last chance to deposit a prayer in the prayer capsule as folks exit the Sanctuary and head for the courtyard
Segment 1B: Children and Youth Activities in Core while Adults are in Sanctuary

Magician and Tables of age-appropriate games
Note: During Segments 2 and 3, there will be “quiet” activities available for children – sidewalk chalk and bubbles (supervised).
Segment 2: Dedication of the Celebration Courtyard with a Focus on the History of Genesis

Rev. Anne: Prayer for the Genesis community

Acknowledgement of those involved in Genesis’ history

Rabbi Josh: Burying of a “prayer capsule”

Folks are handed a ribbon as they move from Courtyard to Star of David and Cross. Ribbons will be attached to strings stretched at different heights between the Star of David and the Cross during the Family Fun segment.
Segment 3: Rededication of the Star of David and the Cross with a Focus on Genesis as Witness to the World
- Rabbi Josh: Prayer for the rededication of the Star of David and the Cross
- Rev. Anne: Instructions for attaching the ribbons, which will occur during the Family Fun segment
- Rabbi Jacobs and then Bishop Perry: Blessings focused on Genesis’ witness to the world
- Call and Response prayer
- Concluding song
Segment 4: Art Project and Family Fun – all activities can be done at any time

Placing ribbons between the Star of David and the Cross, art project for people of all ages, bouncy house, face painting, balloon animals, Food and Faith Garden, sidewalk chalk and bubbles, Washtenaw Dairy Ice Cream Sunday Bar.
