Cantor Regina Lambert-Hayut sings Avinu Malkeinu with Kol HaLev.
What is the “Rejoice with Regina” Campaign?
The “Rejoice with Regina” Campaign will raise money for the TBE Music Fund which has been renamed to honor Cantor Regina Hayut for the years of music and community she has provided us. Throughout the year, a series of events will allow us to “Rejoice with Regina” as she prepares to retire. There is no charge to attend these events since different TBE groups are serving to co-sponsor them. Registration nonetheless is required and donations to support the “Rejoice with Regina” Campaign are encouraged. The primary fundraising event will be the June 1st Gala.
Why donate to the “Rejoice with Regina”Campaign?
Cantor Hayut’s wish is that funds raised in her honor be passed on to ensure our next cantor will have the vital resources to sustain and advance TBE’s music program.
Music is an essential cornerstone of TBE. Music helps bring our community together--to connect with our Jewish heritage and to each other. Many members have shared that joining our choir was their first step to joining our community and that singing our songs was their path to learning to be Jewish. Music lifts us up; it helps us find a voice, especially in these challenging times, and gives us a space to speak from our hearts.
Your donation to the Cantor Regina Lambert-Hayut Music Fund will invite our collective imagination to run wild: parents and babies’ group? A trip for high school musicians? Guitar programs? Adaptive technology to expand accessibility? Drum circles?
Your gift supports the songs we love by providing for talented accompanists, musicians, music, and instruments. And your gift builds a future of new songs by allowing us to invite guest musicians whose songs expand our community and transform the way we sing and pray.
Help us honor Cantor Hayut with the gift she desires: a TBE where music will continue to spiritually nourish and unite us.

As Cantor reflects back on her time with us at TBE, she indicated that it has been an honor to work with our children and stand with them at their b’ mitzvot, to conduct such a talented choir, to study with amazing visiting musicians, and to sing with such a connected congregation. She describes feeling ' ‘wrapped in love” during her final High Holiday Days as our cantor while sharing the bimah with Cantor Emerita Annie, Rabbi Josh, Rabbi Chelsea, as well as both of her sons and her husband.
As a congregation we look back on her time here, remembering the chills we felt when she sang Avinu Malkeinu. The feelings in our hearts when we joined her in song will remain forever with us.
