Temple Beth Emeth is very excited about being able to take this civil rights trip. As a congregation, we are committed to learning about racism, its impact on our congregation and the broader community, and how we can work to be anti-racist. You may recall we had to postpone this trip because of Covid a few years ago and many of our original attendees will be joining us but we do still have limited spaces available. It has a very exciting agenda (download HERE) and over 75 other groups will be taking this trip this year. We have heard only positive reviews about this trip from other congregations that have been.

In conjunction with the Social Action committee, we will be offering a number of programs pre-and post-trip. The first of these programs is the Social Action Congregational Read of The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson, which you are most welcome to participate in. There will be a book discussion on Monday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, February 24 at 7 p.m. (Register HERE.)

If you have any questions about the trip, please contact Shannon at (734) 665-4744 or Alan Cotzin at (734) 604-2143 and join us for an informational meeting on January 22, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in the Social Hall.

If you would like more information or to participate in the trip, please contact Executive Director Shannon Hall at
